We had such a great day! This morning we made a bracelet and it tells all about the First Thanksgiving!
1 brown bead for the pilgrims leaving England
1 white bead for the sails on the Mayflower
3 blue beads for the long trip across the ocean
1 green bead for when the pilgrims saw land
3 clear beads for the long hard winter
1 green bead for the spring
1 tan bead for the Native Americans helping the pilgrims
1 red bead for cranberries
1 yellow bead for corn
1 brown bead for turkey
1 orange bead for pumpkin pie

Sorry its blurry but you get the idea |
Then we made our napkin holders. That was a great activity for following directions! Got to throw those in there every once in a while so why not make a cute turkey to practice. I can't figure out how to turn the picture. Sorry I am not "techy" and I am doing well by getting these onto the blog :)
Then we had our feast! The kids got to be pilgrims or Native Americans. I drew names out of a cup to decide who would be what and the kids "get what they get and don't throw a fit". Works like a charm!
They were so cute in their hats!
Then we got to watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving which is great because it goes right along with our discussion this morning about the first Thanksgiving!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
